MANDUKI MUDRA

Manduki Mudra is roughly translated in Frog Pose.

Manduki in Sanskrit is a combination of two words, “Manduk” which is referred to as Frog and “mudra” is a seal.

Practitioner Level

This is an intermediate level mudra which can be performed by a yoga practitioner who is been practicing yoga from quite a bit of time.

You can use the yogasana mat suggested below and the yoga dress for your convenience and sit in a comfortable posture and then you can start applying the mudras.

Mudras are not to be considered lightly, even though they might look very simple to do.

It will also help activate certain points on your brain which will enhance your perception of reality around you and within you.

Practicing manduki mudra regularly with meditation and yogasanas will help you produce “DMT” which is referred to as Amrita in the scriptures.

The nectar will start flowing from the top of the brain to the whole body through your mouth which you can taste.

This is bound to happen if you are sincere and seriously perform the mudra, asana, pranayama, and meditation practices regularly with dedication.

Many yogis have been saying this from a very long time performing this Manduki Mudra one can taste the nectar (Amrita).

In fact, it is been mentioned in the Gherenda Samhita and other Yoga Shastras by different authors too.

You can be in any of the comfortable sitting asana or postures such as Vajrasana or Bhadrasana.

How to do Manduki Mudra?

Here is a step by step procedure on how to do Manduki Mudra.

  • Sit comfortably on your yoga mat.
  • Take a few deep and slow breaths to relax your body.
  • Sit in Vajrasana or the Bhadrasana.
  • Ensure you separate the two legs and sit.
  • Take the feet apart as much as possible.
  • Your perineum should touch the yoga mat.
  • You can use a cushion or blanket under the buttocks to support.
  • Keep your body straight while doing this Manduki Mudra.
  • Keep the eyes closed and the whole body should be relaxed.
  • Ensure you keep your mouth closed throughout the practice.
  • Rotate the tongue and touch the soft palate.
  • This would help stimulate the penial gland in the brain which is responsible for involuntary actions.
  • You can be in this mudra for about 3-5 minutes depending on your physical fitness and body flexibility.
  • You might get the nectar flowing from the brain to the mouth.
  • Reaping the benefits from this Manduki Mudra will take a lot of effort and time.
  • It comes with regular practice of meditation.
